Nineteen of Medvedev's twenty-one titles have been won on hard courts
A revitalized Daniil Medvedev secured his maiden championship for over two years with success over opponent Moutet in the competition final.
Medvedev, a ex- top-ranked player, has endured a torrid period, managing just one match at the Grand Slams and experiencing a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's inconsistency on the ATP Tour - and issues with his service game in especial - caused him exiting of the top ten and ultimately separating with former coach Cervara.
Presently working with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, he has steadily advanced in the past month - peaking in a hard-fought three-set triumph over Frenchman Moutet.
This represents the player's first title since the Rome competition and maiden on a hard surface from March of the previous year.
The win also signifies he has achieved 21 victories at 21 different events.
"This marks the first occasion I'm at a competition with my both daughters at once, so to secure a championship is really nice," stated world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in tribute of my second daughter my daughter, because the first title I got when my older daughter her name was born was for her."
Medvedev, the 2021 US Open champion, had lost his past six finals, featuring in Halle previously this season.
Medvedev's counter-punching play style and recurring outbursts on the playing surface had led observers to wonder if his skill to compete at the highest level was concluded.
But the player has altered his approach in the past month, attempting to advance forward and play assertively, supported by an enhanced serving game.
The champion fought back from a disadvantage in the opening set against the challenging Frenchman, winning four of the last five games to gain the advantage.
The pair swapped break points in the middle set before the Frenchman, bidding for his initial ATP Tour victory, took control to force a third set.
He saved 4 early-game opportunities in a competitive third set before Medvedev secured a break to 15 to secure the win.
Suitably, the winner earned victory with a shot at the front of the court, with the Frenchman unable to control a shot after a lengthy match.
